How to Reconstitute Lyophilised Peptides Safely
Proper reconstitution protects your data and keeps every vial compliant with laboratory standards. Follow this quick procedure whenever you prepare research peptides such as BPC-157, MOT-C, or Selank.
What you need
- Sterile bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol)
- 1 ml insulin syringes (29G or similar)
- Alcohol wipes, nitrile gloves, and a clean workspace
- Labeled storage vials if splitting doses
Step-by-step
- Sanitise the work surface, wash hands, and put on gloves.
- Swab the vial tops with alcohol wipes.
- Draw the desired volume of bacteriostatic water into a syringe.
- Insert the needle through the peptide vial stopper and slowly depress the plunger down the glass wall to avoid foam.
- Gently swirl (do not shake) until the powder fully dissolves.
- Label the vial with the peptide name, concentration, and date/time.
Storage & disposal
- Keep reconstituted solutions refrigerated (2–8°C) and discard after 2–4 weeks, depending on protocol.
- Use sterile syringes for each draw to prevent contamination.
- Dispose of sharps in an approved container.
